Market women in Rivers state took to the streets this afternoon to stage a protest over the nullification of the election of the state governor, Nyesom Wike by the state Election petition tribunal on October 25th. The women walked from Old Township in Port Harcourt to the PDP secretariat where they presented their grievances to the PDP chairman in Rivers State, Felix Obuah. 

Ofcourse, Africans are super super greedy! I mean, what is a 91 years old man doing ruling an entire country! At that age can they even make decisions for themselves? let alone an entire nation!!!! It was mild drama at the national assembly as PDP senators walk out on their colleagues as the APC caucus stood their ground to support the confirmation of Rotimi Ameachi as a Minister of the federal Govt of Nigeria, the senate president wave his power to continue the confirmation of all the nominees in the absence of their PDP counterparts.The House committee on Ethics and Privileges had earlier submitted its recommendation that the Ministerial nominee should not be confirmed pending the outcome of the petition on corruption levied against him in the court, but the APC caucus Spearheaded by the House Leader Senator Ndume And Senator Omoworare moved and seconded respectively that the senate should go ahead and confirm  Rotimi Ameachi as Minister. A policeman’s son reportedly jumped 60 feet to meet his death from his city’s centre apartment after he wrote a suicide letter to his parents confessing that he was losing a battle to beat his cocaine addiction. According to  Daily Mirror , Chris McNally, 30, wrote in the letter: “Mum and dad. I’m sorry, I struggle with cocaine . I am a mess mentally and feel like I can’t grow up.Whoever I love eventually hates me. I love people and love the world but can’t develop as a man. I have nothing to give the world. I am so sorry.” It was revealed that after a drink and drugs binge, he went back to his fifth floor flat in Manchester with his new girlfriend and another friend where he told them he had “ let them down ” before he then jumped over the balcony, suffering catastrophic injuries.

The Emir of Kano,  Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II  has reportedly sacked Chiroma of Kano,  Alhaji Sanusi Bayero  after he allegedly refused to pay homage to the emir. He is the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano,  Alhaji Ado Bayero . The Emir has appointed the District Head of Dala, Alhaji Nasiru Bayero to replace him as the new Chiroma. A statement made available to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday confirmed. According to the statement signed by the Galadiman Kano and Senior Councillor in the Emirate, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, the former Chiroma, who was also the District Head of Gwale, was removed following his refusal to pay homage to the Emir, since he was appointed on June 8, 2014. On Wednesday, 28th of October, 2015, students of IMG Secondary School, Oke Ado in Ibadan, went on rampage following the death of one of their colleagues who was allegedly flogged to death by one of their teachers. The student reportedly slumped and gave up the ghost as a result of the severe punishment from a teacher for arriving late to school. Invaluable properties of the school were destroyed by the students who took to protest before the members of Nigerian police force came to rescue the situation. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained as at press time while policemen had cordoned off the area. An eye witnesses who claimed anonymity said “trouble started when the student arrived school after classes had commenced for the day, he reportedly told the teacher he came late due to illness.” “At that point,” the eye witness added, “the principal, who was passing by asked the teacher the cause of the discussion.” The principal allegedly ordered the teach

Father to son in crisis,  Lamar Odom ,  Joe Odom , reportedly head out to see his son last night but he was not granted access and he blames it on  Khloe Kardashian . PDP senators reportedly walked out of the senate in protest of Amaechi’s ministerial confirmation. The Senate rejected the report of the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges arguing that a nominee who has a corruption case in court should not be confirmed until the case is cleared. The majority made up of APC senators spoke against the findings,arguing that the senate has no right to interfere in proceedings of the court, neither should such proceedings influence its decisions. The Senate has approved the nomination of Rotimi Amaechi as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The former Rivers state governor, was approved on Thursday, after the Senate emerged from a closed session. After the approval of 17 ministers, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, called on the Chairman of the Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, to submit its report on the petition against Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi. After reading out the report, Senator George Sekibo said the petition against Amaechi is an allegation and should not be amended by any Senator. He said: “We’re joining President Muhammadu Buhari to fight against corruption, I hope his followers join him to fight against corruption too.” Senator Jide Omoworare then interjected, by referring Senator Sekibo to the Senate Standing Rules, which states that the Senate cannot decide on the matter, since the petition is still in court. Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka yesterday vowed to “draw blood” with his latest book,  InterInventions . The book was presented to the public at the June 12 Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta by the Edo State governor, Adams Oshiohmole. Soyinka had this to say about the book: It is the nastiest book I have ever written. It is so truthful that it hurts… it is my vengeance against public lies. It is not one of the butterfly books. Olusegun Obasanjo is reported to have cheated death on his way back from his late wife, Stella Obasanjo’s 10th year remembrance. The former PDP member escaped unhurt from an accident involving his SUV along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. It was gathered that the former President just left a church programme organised for the 10th years remembrance of his late wife and was on his way to the airport before the incident happened. Report has it that one of the rear tyres of his Luxus SUV burst along the road but the former President escaped unhurt. He has since travelled out of the country.

Policemen attached to the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja are investi­gating an alleged theft of N8million from Vice Pres­ident  Yemi Osinbajo ’s bank account. It was gathered that two undergraduate students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka identi­fied as Ebuka Orumba and Patrick Nwafor allegedly hacked into the account of Simmons Cooper Partner, a law firm said to belong to Vice President Osibajo and allegedly stole eight million naira (N8miilion) from it. According to investiga­tion, the undergraduates Nwafor is a final year 500level student of Envi­ronmental Science while Orumba is a final year Computer Engineering student. It was gathered that the students used fraudulent means to hack into the email of the Account man­ager of the VP’s law firm, one Mr. Tunde Irukera, and they allegedly sent a mail to UBA PLC branch to one Obuba Fidelia on July 2nd instructing the bank to transfer eight mil­lion naira from Simmions Cooper Bank account to three different bank
